Notes from the last meeting, January 9th
The Arnold Preservation Council Annual Meeting was held on January 9th, 2012 at Chesapeake Academy. At the meeting, the annual reports and a summary of 2011 events were presented.

The 2012 Board of Directors were elected and the following officers were announced:
- President: Elizabeth Rosborg
- Vice President: Sage Mumma
- Treasurer: Sue Ricciardi

- Member at Large: Steve Darroch
- Member at Large: Robin Atkins
- Past President: Lucy Iliff
Also, the Arnold Preservation Council presented Past President Lucy Iliff with a gift of a live tree, to be planted on the B&A Trail at the Old Joyce Station site. The gift was given in honor of her 12 years of dedicated service to APC and Arnold. As a founding member of APC, she has helped to create an organization that has made a positive difference in Arnold.

Elizabeth Rosborg, newly elected President recently settled back in Arnold after extensive military travel with her family. She is the third generation to live in the family home and after a full house renovation, is looking forward to raising a fourth on the property. She and her husband Rick have one son, Matthew who is a sophomore at Severn School.
“I am looking forward to carrying on the tradition first started by my grandfather Commander William Berry and then my mother, Elizabeth Morrison to preserve Arnold and continue the community aspect where you know your neighbors and feel safe raising your children. Our prime location requires active community involvement and I look forward to working hard with each and every neighbor.”
The Arnold Preservation Council was first established in 1999 and the mission is to unite the people of Arnold to enhance Arnold's Identity as a desirable community that preserves its rural heritage and environment by advocating responsible growth, liked neighborhoods, local small business and excellent schools.

Growth Action Network
The Growth Action Network of Anne Arundel County is a coalition of individuals and organizations formed in August 2007 by members of APC whose members share information and join together on projects and issues of interest.
The mission of Growth Action is to involve the citizens of Anne Arundel County in the planning process through education and advocacy and to allow growth only where infrastructure is sufficient and natural resources (including water and air quality) are protected so that all growth will enhance the quality of life in the county and benefit residents and businesses.
Growth Action is seeking funding to hire a coordinator to staff the coalition to help make the members of the coalition more effective through sharing information, training, and working in concert with other groups with similar goals.
OBJECTIVES/ACTIONS of the network:
- Expand public oversight/reviews of the planning and development process in Anne Arundel County
- Strengthen the General Development Plan and insure implementation
- Build the capacity of Growth Action to maximize the potential reach and influence on growth issues.
If you would like to help us meet these important goals, please consider a donation to this project. Send your check payable to APC with the memo noted for GROWTH ACTION to:
